Life on the Trail
Phil spend the evening at the Kirkridge Shelter near Fox Gap, PA last night, after a day of multiple bear sightings and lots of jagged rocks. He can't wait to get out of PA, and that should happen around noon today - welcome to Jersey! He should be in NJ for 73 miles, then NY for about 100 miles and then CT!!! My estimate is 10 days max till he gets back in the neighborhood (my new name for New England). Paradox and her husband are picking him up off the trail today for a Day 0 tomorrow so he can rest and recover. So grateful for the hiking community, so often it is his fellow hikers that keep him on the trail one more day. And I'm sure he does the same for him.
